Felony Drug Court - Operational Tune Up


Training Dates: March 12-13, 2019

Training Time: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

Location: Macon, Georgia


Training Description

The team training will allow court team members the opportunity to assess current practice, identify the strengths of the program, determine gaps and challenges the team is currently facing and develop a plan to strategically address the goals set. The training experience and ability to apply the information presented will be enhanced by the attendance of as many team members as possible. The training requires the attendance of each core team member because of their day-to-day responsibilities within the accountability Court. Up to 8 team members per team can attend. The core team members are identified below:

  • Judge
  • Prosecutor
  • Coordinator
  • Treatment Provider
  • Defense Attorney
  • Law Enforcement Officer
  • Probation Officer
  • Case Manager and/or Evaluator

Family Treatment Court - Operational Tune Up


Training Dates: March 14-15, 2019

Training Time: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

Location: Macon, Georgia 


Training Description

The  team training will allow court team members the opportunity to assess current practice, identify the strengths of the program, determine gaps and challenges the team is currently facing and develop a plan to strategically address the goals set. The training experience and ability to apply the information presented will be enhanced by the attendance of as many team members as possible. The training requires the attendance of each core team members because of their day-to-day responsibilities within the accountability Court. Up to 12 team members per court can attend. The core FTC team members are identified below:


  1. Judge
  2. Special Assistant Attorney General (SAAG)
  3. Parent Attorney
  4. Child Attorney
  5. Prosecuting Attorney 
  6. Defense Attorney
  7. Program Coordinator
  8. Department of Family and Children Services (DFCS)
  9. Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) or other child advocate
  10. Community Policing Officer or Surveillance Officer
  11. Case Manager
  12. Treatment Provider or Substance Abuse Professional

Veterans Treatment Court - Operational Tune Up


Training Dates: March 14 -15, 2019

Training Time: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

Location: Macon, Georgia


Training Description

The team training will allow court team members the opportunity to assess current practice, identify the strengths of the program, determine gaps and challenges the team is currently facing and develop a plan to strategically address the goals set. The training experience and ability to apply the information presented will be enhanced by the attendance of as many team members as possible. The training requires, the attendance of the core team members because of their day-to-day responsibilities within the accountability Court. Up to 9 team members can attend. The core team members are identified below:


  • Judge
  • Prosecutor
  • Coordinator
  • Treatment Provider
  • Defense Attorney
  • Law Enforcement Officer
  • Probation Officer
  • Case Manager and/or evaluator 
  • Veteran Mentor Coordinator 


Mental Health Court Refresher 


Training Dates: March 14-15, 2019

Training Time: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

Location: Macon, Georgia


Training Description

The team training will allow court team members the opportunity to assess current practice, identify the strengths of the program, determine gaps and challenges the team is currently facing and develop a plan to strategically address the goals set. The training experience and ability to apply the information presented will be enhanced by the attendance of as many team members as possible. The training requires the attendance of each core team member because of their day-to-day responsibilities within the accountability Court. Up to 8 team members per team can attend. The core team members are identified below:


  • Judge
  • Prosecutor
  • Coordinator
  • Treatment Provider
  • Defense Attorney
  • Law Enforcement Officer
  • Probation Officer
  • Case Manager and/or Clinical Case Manager 



Before Registering: 

Before registering your court team members must agree to the following:  

  1. All team members must attend each full day of the training 
  2. Complete any pre- training requirements requested within timeline
    1. Registration of each team member
    2. Reserving lodging accommodations (if applicable) before deadline
  3. The accountability court must be operational for at least 3 years before they are eligible to attend. 


To Register:

To register for this training, coordinators should print and sign the appropriate registration form below.  Once signed, the registration form needs to be uploaded to the registration link below by December 21, 2018.  Remember, only so many courts will be selected for the training, a confirmation to registration will be sent out via e-mail no later than December 28, 2018. 


Registration will close: December 21, 2018.
