DUI Court Operational Tune Up Training

Training Description

NCDC's 1 day Operational Tune-up Training is designed for DWI or hybrid drug/DWI court teams that have already taken the NCDC DWI Court Foundation Training. This operational tune-up provides advanced practices to enhance the court program built on the 10 Guiding Principles for DWI Courts and the National Association of Drug Court Professionals' Best Practice Standards. 


The team will benefit from one-on-one interaction with NCDC's experts while developing an action plan to maximize resources and integrate best practices into the DWI court program. Up to 8 team members per program are eligible to attend. 


The core team members are identified below:
  • Judge
  • Prosecutor
  • Coordinator
  • Treatment Provider
  • Defense Attorney
  • Law Enforcement Officer
  • Probation Officer 
  • Case Manager/Evaluator or additional team member.  

Before registering your court team members must agree to the following:  
  1. Team members must attend the full day of the training 
  2. Complete any pre- training requirements requested within timeline
    • Registration of each team member.
    • Reserving lodging accommodations (if applicable) before deadline.
    • Pre-training surveys by requested deadline
  3. The accountability court may not have attended a CACJ sponsored operational tune up training since FY16. 

  • Breakfast and lunch are provided at the training venue. 
  • Lodging is provided  for registered and approved attendees by CACJ. Attendees work location must be more than 50 miles from the training venue to be eligible for lodging provided by CACJ.
  • Attendee mileage (please carpool when possible), parking, and non provided meals are reimbursable through the grant (CJCC SER).

To register for this training, coordinators should print and sign the appropriate registration form below.

Once signed, the registration form needs to be uploaded to the GREEN registration link on the right side of the web page by September 6, 2019.

Remember, there are a limited number of team slots available  for the training, a confirmation to registration will be sent out via e-mail by September 30, 2019.
